What’s on the Horizon

Planning!  What a process!  I think we have put together a great schedule of opportunities to improve your depth of understanding in the relationship with your horse.  There are several NEW items and new locations.  I can’t wait to share with you what the horses having been teaching me!  Hope to see you again and again in 2002.

A Christmas Gift to Cherish a Lifetime

What a wonderful idea!  As aspiring horseman, what could be more meaningful, joyous, yet challenging than giving or receiving the gift to study horsemanship.  Now is the time to surprise a friend, or even treat yourself, and end up giving the horse a present he’ll thank you for, for years to come.  Gift certificates available.  Give us a call at 541-856-3356 or email us at: tnthorse@eoni.com

New Classes…

I am very excited to offer several new classes for our eastern Oregon clients, along with new locations for several of our away from home clinics.  Let me tell ya

a bit about them…

·       Friday Winter Evening Class

This summer a group of nine horseman, and one brave mule-person, met of Saturdays to further their skills, knowledge, and just plain have FUN!  This group and others who are brave enough (!) are invited to “Keep Go’in” on Friday evenings under the lights and in the warmth of T&T Horsemanship’s indoor arena.

·       Advancing Young Rider

Last winter Alice worked with four outstanding young women on skills that included riding blindfolded, bareback, and brideless.  (and they survived!)  This year the class will take place on Saturdays in March and April.  A great way to prepare dedicated young horseman for a lifetime of horsemanship rewards.

·       Colt Development Course

To my knowledge no other clinician is offering such an opportunity to truly bring a young horse along.  Here’s how it will work:  When you arrive in Haines, you will be handed a young, halter-broke horse, unless you want to bring your own.  For the next 22-days that will be your horse!  At the end of the course you will have the opportunity to purchase the colt at a pre-arranged, economical price.  Those colts not purchased by participants will be available.  Riders will be personally screened by Alice, and must have ridden with her or someone she respects.

Can you imagine where we will go with these colts in 22 days?  Registration is limited & must be received by February 2002.

·       New Clinic Locations

We will be hitting the road again this summer, returning to Rochester and Walla Walla, Washington, but adding some new stops too.  June will mark clinics in Olympia, Washington, and a mulemanship clinic in Corvallis, Oregon.  We will be returning to the Boise, Idaho area, and adding a trip to wine country - Philo, California – in August.  Help us out by informing your friends in the areas where we’ll be traveling.  I’d like to meet them.

·       Round Pen to Riding

The understanding and use of the round pen with one or more horses involved can bring tremendous rewards to both horse & human.  Transferring this knowledge & the feelings to your riding abilities & equitation will be our focus in the afternoon sessions.  Good Posture…Good Ride.!

2002… Filled with Prospect & Excitement!
